Started in a high schooler's spare time.
Science and Beyond is a 501(c)(3) non-profit run by students. We inspire young talents to understand and address environmental challenges through hands-on educational experiences, focused on the role of science and computer science in conservation and biodiversity.
Everything we run is free. We teach the way we wished we'd been taught: build something real, outdoors when possible, with people close to your own age.

What we believe
Free, or it doesn't count
Cost is the first thing that filters kids out of science. We removed it.
Build, don't watch
Every program ends with something a student made — a game, a garden bed, a project.
Students teaching students
Our instructors are teenagers. It makes the room less intimidating and the questions better.
How we got here
Founded as a high school sophomore project and registered as a 501(c)(3).
First Python boot camps and the launch of our SDG hackathon series.
Built an outdoor science classroom for Oliveira Elementary — 35 bucket seats, gravel, fencing, whiteboard.
Running free sessions year-round and expanding conservation work across the East Bay.
